Frank L. Brunetti, Professor of Law and Taxation in the
Silberman College of Business, has been appointed as a
consultant to the U.N. Group of Experts on Cooperation
in International Tax Matters. The Group of Experts is
an ad hoc working group of the U.N. established by the
Secretary-General. The Group’s mandate is to suggest
ways for facilitating the conclusion of tax treaties
between developed and developing countries. The Group
of Experts deals with issues of combating international
tax avoidance and evasion, the reduction of incompatibilities
in tax systems, investment and transfer of technology,
transfer pricing mechanisms, tax havens, and taxation of
electronic commerce.

worked to promote understanding between Israelis and Arabs, and
is studying how the history curricula in Israel shape the national
identity of Israel's Palestinian citizens.
