Collaboration with WTCU
Fairleigh Dickinson University is pleased to offer its Online Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering in collaboration with the World Trade Center University (WTCU). Fairleigh Dickinson University, founded in 1942, is the largest independent institution in New Jersey, with 11,000 students (including more than 800 international students), spread across two regional campuses and an international campus in Wroxton, England. A nationally recognized leader in both global education and distance learning, FDU’s mission is to be a “center of academic excellence dedicated to the preparation of world citizens through global education.” In 2001, FDU took the bold step of becoming the first college in the nation to require that all students complete one online course per year of study.
In 2004 FDU began collaborating with the World Trade Center University. FDU strongly endorses The WTCU’s mission of providing “high quality content and connect[ing] students, professors, and professionals from across the globe in a truly international learning environment.” The Master of Science in Electrical Engineering Degree can be earned by simply logging on the Internet. There is no residency requirement. The online MSEE has the same high academic standards as the traditional program, which has been offered for thirty years. It is ideally suited for engineering professionals who find it difficult to attend conventional classes. The Director of the Online Program in electrical engineering is Dr. Alfredo Tan. He can be reached at tan@fdu.edu or via telephone at 201.692.2324. |
